First lady Melania Trump on Friday is delivering remarks at 11 a.m. in Washington, D.C., as she donates her 2025 inaugural gown to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History’s historic collection of first ladies’ attire.
Trump is set to address the moment with remarks on Friday morning. She is handing over the Hervé Pierre-designed black-and-white gown to the Smithsonian, where it will join her 2017 inaugural gown, also designed by Pierre, her longtime fashion designer. Having two inaugural gowns at the Smithsonian is “a rare distinction held by only a few first ladies in history,” according to the White House.
