The president will spend part of his 81st birthday pardoning two turkeys named Liberty and Bell, who made the dayslong trip from Minnesota. The pair made their Washington, D.C., red-carpet debut Sunday afternoon at the Willard Hotel. After the event, Liberty and Bell will return to their home state to be cared for by the University of Minnesota’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resources Sciences.
