Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 118:28-29

President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, releasing files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein a day after the House and Senate approved the legislation.

“I HAVE JUST SIGNED THE BILL TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES! As everyone knows, I asked Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, to pass this Bill in the House and Senate, respectively. Because of this request, the votes were almost unanimous in favor of passage. At my direction, the Department of Justice has already turned over close to fifty thousand pages of documents to Congress,” Trump said on Truth Social.

In announcing the signing, the president painted Epstein as “a lifelong Democrat” who “donated Thousands of Dollars to Democrat Politicians, and was deeply associated with many well-known Democrat figures, such as Bill Clinton (who traveled on his plane 26 times), Larry Summers (who just resigned from many Boards, including Harvard), Sleazebag Political Activist Reid Hoffman, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (who asked Epstein to donate to his Campaign AFTER Epstein was charged), Democrat Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett, and many more.”

On Tuesday, the House approved a resolution with only one lawmaker, Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA), voting against it before transmitting it to the Senate, which fast-tracked the bill and sent it to Trump’s desk. It marked one of the very few times during Trump’s second administration that Congress has so defiantly ignored his wishes.

Despite Speaker Mike Johnson‘s (R-LA) preference for the measure to include protections for whistleblowers and the victims of Epstein, the Senate did not make those changes.

EPSTEIN FILES BILL HEADED TO TRUMP’S DESK AFTER SENATE GIVES GREEN LIGHT

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) brought the measure to the Senate floor that same day, where it passed via unanimous consent.

Four Republicans—Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY), Nancy Mace (R-SC), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), and Lauren Boebert (R-CO)— provided the four votes needed to bring the measure up for a vote on the House floor via discharge petition.

Massie, along with Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), originally co-sponsored the discharge petition that forced a vote on the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The House needed 218 signatures for the petition to force leadership to schedule a vote on legislation. After Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-AZ) was sworn into office, 50 days after she won the seat to replace her late father Rep. Raul Grijalva, the petition reached 218 signatures.

EVERY HOUSE REPUBLICAN, BAR ONE, VOTES TO RELEASE EPSTEIN FILES

The White House unsuccessfully attempted to pressure Greene, Boebert, and Mace from dropping their support of the petition.

Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and FBI Director Kash Patel reportedly met with Boebert to pressure the congresswoman not to sign a petition in Congress.

“Doesn’t it show transparency that members of the Trump administration are willing to brief members of Congress whenever they please?” Leavitt responded during a press briefing last week about the meeting.

Trump later branded Greene, the firebrand Georgia House member, a “traitor” over her support for releasing the Epstein files.

“Let me tell you what a traitor is. A traitor is an American that serves foreign countries and themselves,” Greene responded during a press conference at the Capitol with survivors of Epstein’s abuse on Tuesday.

The president also ordered the FBI and the Justice Department to investigate Epstein’s ties to leading Democrats, including former President Bill Clinton, after the House Oversight Committee released thousands of Epstein emails publicly.
