3. You must accept Christ into your heart
4. You must receive God’s gift of Salvation
5. You must Ask Christ into your heart
6. You must Receive Christ into your heart
7. You must repent of your sins
8. You must repent and then accept Christ into your heart
9. You must accept Jesus into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior
ETC ETC ETC… It goes on and on. Who knows what that all means anyway!
To become a Child of God, a member of the Body of Christ…YOU MUST, YOU HAVE TO…BELIEVE. BELIEVE the Record in God’s Word that God gave of His Son.
In Ephesians 1:13 the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul declares that men are saved and sealed by hearing and BELIEVING the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your Salvation.
The fact is, that by the work of God, (the Father, Son and Holy Spirit), there has been accomplished and there is available: for any and every sinner who BELIEVES the record that God gave of His Son, an accomplished redemption, a perfect salvation. And we shall see by the same Divine authority the further fact that this perfect salvation can be had by the believing sinner without any additional work, religious endeavor, or church ceremony.
The righteousness of God has been made available for anyone who will believe the truth of God. “Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.” Romans 10:4-5.
And to believe means: that upon which a man or woman is prepared to act. Or to put it more simply: believe is to accept as true, to accept as real! You are not Saved if you are secretly NOT believing the record God gave of His Son
THEN let us BELIEVE the fact…that is, “that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
AMEN. I DO,..Believe, thanks and glory be to God the Father, through Christ Jesus, His only begotten Son!
But I have to ask, Mr. Kane: Are you perchance a (Ft. Lauderdale, FL’s) Nova HS ’68 grad?

The Bible says in the book of Acts when the gentiles and Jews asked what they must do to be saved, for they had killed the very savior who came to save them ~Then Peter said unto them, repent AND be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost .Acts 2 :38
Also in Mark 16:16, He that believes AND is baptized shall be saved, but he that believes not shall be damned. It’s a no brainer that if you don’t believe you won’t be baptized. But the devil uses that to say you don’t have to be baptized! We must repent also AND BE BAPTIZED. Not as a baby. (Babies have no sin and can’t repent.)
That is the Bible plan in the New Testament to be saved.
The sinners prayer is NO WHERE in the Bible people!
Jesus was baptized (immersed) by his cousin John to set the example for us even tho he had no sin.
Sprinkling or pouring doesn’t meet the example Christ showed us. This is how we get in Christ ( his body, the church) the church wears Christ’s name. It is his bride he told us, any good bride wears her husbands name proudly. Not John the Baptist’s name, or Martin Luthers, Methodist or heaven forbid~the Church of Rome.
This is why I belong to the “church of Christ”. Then we are told we must remain faithful till death as the apostle Paul. (Through repentance when we sin, God forgives.) Paul said: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. Henceforth there is a crown of righteousness laid up for me and all those who love his appearing.” God bless us all.
