Warsh is replacing Jerome Powell as head of the central bank after the Senate confirmed the Trump appointee in a 54-45 vote last week.
In an interview with the Washington Examiner, Trump said he would let Warsh “do what he wants to do” with interest rates. Powell’s resistance to cutting interest rates was one of the reasons why Trump wanted him out of the leadership role.
The ceremony is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Friday.
