Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump, said she’s “a little nervous” about starting a new chapter in life, but credits her grandpa for the “competitive edge” she says has fueled her wide-ranging success ahead of starting her freshman year and Division I golf career at the University of Miami.
“[I’m] a little nervous, I’m not gonna lie, but I’m ready for the next chapter,” she said Thursday on “Fox & Friends.”
“And I love my siblings. I am not far away from them, like an hour and a half away,” she added.

When asked where she gets her “competitive edge” from despite her early success, Trump pointed to her mother and the president as two likely influences.
“My mom’s competitive, too, but definitely grandpa’s very competitive,” she told the hosts on the curvy couch.
She reinforced that sentiment when asked what drives her to keep pushing despite her success as both a golfer and social media influencer. When asked where that motivation comes from, she responded simply: “Probably grandpa.”
