Trump trolls reporter: I don’t want fake news ‘like you’
President Donald Trump fired back at a reporter Saturday before boarding Air Force One for the University of Tennessee vs. the University of Texas college football game.
“I want real news, not fake news, like you,” Trump said when asked if he only wanted to be surrounded by outlets that support him.

“Listen, I want real news. I love an open, free press. What I don’t like is the fake press, where a group like CNN, a few people watching, or MSDNC, which they changed, I guess, to ‘NOW,’ but you know why they changed it? Because their ratings were so bad.”
“What I don’t like is fake news. And they’re fake news, 100%. In two years, I doubt they did one good story, and I won the election in a landslide. So, what we don’t want is fake news,” Trump said as he pointed at the reporter before walking away.
Trump’s comments come as CNN was excluded from a list of approved press outlets to accompany Trump aboard Air Force One to Knoxville, Tennessee, according to the outlet.
The move follows Trump’s latest attempts to ban CNN, MS Now, and Politico from the White House.
Trump announced he was banning the outlets on Sept. 18, “as a result of their constant ‘reporting’ FAKE NEWS!”
“Media Outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report FICTION and LIES when they’re covering the President of the United States, the Trump Administration, or the United States of America. Other Fake News Media Outlets to follow,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The outlets were denied access to the White House on Sept. 19 and sued the Trump administration, arguing that the ban violates the First Amendment.
The White House TV press pool announced it was standing in solidarity with the outlets by boycotting any broadcast coverage of Trump.
In a joint statement on Sept. 21, ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox News said they will not provide coverage of Trump after he banned the three media publications from the White House.
A federal judge ordered the administration on Thursday to immediately lift its ban on the three news outlets for two weeks.
After passes were reinstated, the White House TV press pool resumed its coverage of Trump. However, CNN and MS Now reporters were still banned from the state dinner Thursday night.

Amid the rift with the media outlets, Trump announced his own media channel, Trump TV, on Monday.
The White House made the announcement on Instagram. The post said the content can be streamed 24/7 from a phone or TV. The post directs users to the White House YouTube page.
