President-elect Donald Trump is holding a final rally to celebrate his victory in the 2024 election, which will be held on the eve of his inauguration in Washington.
Capital One Arena is perhaps best known for being the home of the National Hockey League’s Washington Capitals and the National Basketball Association’s Washington Wizards. It can house almost 21,000 people at full capacity.
“This monumental weekend will commemorate President Trump’s historic victory and the 60th Presidential Inauguration with a celebration of music, unity, and patriotism, ushering in America’s new Golden Age,” Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee co-Chairpeople Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler said in a statement.
Here’s what you need to know if you’re planning to go.
The rally is set to begin at 3 p.m., and the doors for the event will open at 1 p.m. Tickets are free here.
Musical talents include “God Bless the USA” artist Lee Greenwood, Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus, and the Village People. Liberty University’s Praise Choir is also set to perform.
District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser has forewarned city residents and visitors that widespread road closures are to be expected for Trump’s inauguration. As such, Metro trains and buses are the most efficient means of travel this weekend.
Capital One Arena is located at the Gallery Place-Chinatown station, which can be accessed by traveling the Red, Green, or Yellow lines. The arena is also within walking distance of the Metro Center, Judiciary Square, and Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter stations.
For those opting to travel by car, parking is available in the Lexus parking garage. Guests can also utilize SpotHero to purchase parking spots at nearby lots or garages.
Guests are not allowed to bring weapons of any kind to the arena, including pepper spray. Outside food and drink, laser pointers, and selfie sticks, are also not allowed.
A full list of prohibited items can be found here.
Backpacks and purses are among the items not allowed in the arena. However, guests are allowed to bring wallet-sized clutches no larger than 5” by 7” and medical or parenting bags no larger than 14″ by 14″ by 6″.
The arena allows guests to bring trained service animals, though said animals must always remain on either a leash or a harness.

Besides his MAGA Victory rally and the inauguration itself, numerous galas are also set to be held to celebrate Trump’s swearing-in, including the Liberty Ball, which will feature performances by the Village People, country musician Jason Aldean, and a “surprise musical guest.” Country musicians Rascal Flatts and Parker McCollum are performing at a different event, the Commander In Chief Ball.
Trump’s inauguration is not expected to be short on musical talent. Greenwood told the Washington Examiner that Trump and attendees can expect a “majestic” rendition of his iconic “God Bless the USA,” which has become a staple at Trump rallies. Carrie Underwood is also set to perform at the inauguration.
