Here is a breakdown of what to expect the weekend before Inauguration Day.
Trump will begin the weekend festivities with a reception dinner with fireworks at his golf club in Sterling, Virginia. He will also attend a reception with his Cabinet nominees and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance.
Trump will visit Arlington National Cemetery, where he will attend the wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He will speak at a Make America Great Again Victory Rally and then deliver more remarks at a candlelight dinner.
The day will begin with a service at St. John’s Church, followed by tea at the White House.
Trump will be sworn in at noon outside the U.S. Capitol. Following that, Trump will bid farewell to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. The Capitol departure ceremony will follow.
He will then head to the president’s signing room, where he will partake in the tradition of signing his nominations.

Trump will then attend a luncheon hosted by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies and conduct a review of the troops before kicking off the presidential parade, which goes along Pennsylvania Avenue. The parade will end at the White House, where he will participate in the Oval Office signing ceremony.
Trump will end the night by delivering remarks at the Commander in Chief Ball, the Liberty Inaugural Ball, and the Starlight Ball.
