The Washington Examiner’s Joe Concha pushed for “true accountability” from those involved in the cover-up of former President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, including the former first lady Jill Biden‘s role.
The recently released book, Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, cites how the former first lady was one of her husband’s biggest proponents for his reelection bid, as well as one of the “chief deniers” of her husband’s cognitive decline. Concha, a senior writer for the Washington Examiner, suggested that the former first lady was actually the “chief liar” to the American public, noting that she knew the former president better than anyone else.
“She knew what was going on, going all the way back, guys, to 2019,” Concha explained on Fox News’s Fox & Friends First. “Again, watch the primary debates for that nomination in 2019. Joe Biden is not there, especially when you compare him to when he was vice president, especially when comparing him to 2012 when he debated Paul Ryan in the vice presidential debate. While he was obnoxious and kept interrupting him, he was sharp. That man did not exist even six years ago.”
Concha also argued that the discussion regarding the “attempted cover-up” of Biden’s cognitive decline is unlikely to disappear anytime soon, as the Democratic Party “literally engaged in the most anti-democracy behavior” in the nation’s history. He urged hearings to provide “answers” in what happened with the coverup, which put the nation’s national security “incredibly at stake.”
Amid growing scrutiny of the former first lady, the White House has urged her to “speak up” regarding her husband’s health. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt suggested that people with “a little bit of common sense” could see there was “a clear cover-up” regarding her husband’s decline.

A current focus of inquiry for Republicans is the Biden administration’s use of the autopen, which President Donald Trump predicted is “going to become one of the great scandals of all time.” House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) has also suggested that Biden’s executive orders could be “thrown out in court” if the former president’s autopen had been used to sign them.
Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) suggested that Biden’s doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, likely played a role in the former president’s cover-up. He added that the family was already aware of Biden’s cognitive decline when he ran for president in 2019, and work was already being done “behind the scenes” to address this.
