The Republican-controlled Texas House on Saturday voted to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, which makes Paxton only the third sitting official in Texas’s history to have been impeached. On the House floor before the vote, Rep. John Smithee (R) compared the three impeachments and called for due process.
