President Donald Trump called for former Vice President Kamala Harris to be prosecuted over large sums her campaign doled out to celebrities on the campaign trail in 2024.
In a Truth Social post on Saturday night, Trump alleged that the money given to celebrities including Beyonce and Oprah Winfrey, as well as Rev. Al Sharpton, was “incorrectly stated in the books and records,” suggesting that the Harris campaign paid for their endorsements.
“I’m looking at the large amount of money owed by the Democrats, after the Presidential Election, and the fact that they admit to paying, probably illegally, Eleven Million Dollars to singer Beyoncé for an ENDORSEMENT (she never sang, not one note, and left the stage to a booing and angry audience!), Three Million Dollars for ‘expenses,’ to Oprah, Six Hundred Thousand Dollars to very low rated TV ‘anchor,’ Al Sharpton (a total lightweight!), and others to be named for doing, absolutely NOTHING! These ridiculous fees were incorrectly stated in the books and records. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO DO SO,” the president posted.
Trump concluded his post by calling for Harris, as well as the celebrities who endorsed her, to be prosecuted.
“Can you imagine what would happen if politicians started paying for people to endorse them. All hell would break out! Kamala, and all of those that received Endorsement money, BROKE THE LAW. They should all be prosecuted!” he added.
The alleged fraud by Harris’s campaign is a topic that Trump has revisited before, including after he reentered the White House.
In May, Trump called for a “major investigation” into Harris’s celebrity endorsements, singling out Bruce Springsteen, who performed at two Harris rallies in 2024, while also targeting the endorsements she received from Oprah and Beyonce.

Through their respective production companies and nonprofit organizations, Beyonce was paid $165,000, Oprah received $1 million, and Sharpton got $500,000 ahead of an interview with the then-presidential candidate.
Both Beyonce and Oprah have denied being paid for their endorsements, insisting that the payments were for production costs for the campaign events they participated in.
