Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3:5-7

Trump thanks Iran for early notice in retaliatory strikes and hopes for ‘no further hate’ at george magazine

President Donald Trump thanked Iran for providing an early warning of its retaliatory strike against a U.S. base in Qatar and signaled his hope for an off-ramp from further hostilities.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump provided details of the attack, saying U.S. missile defenses intercepted 13 of Iran’s 14 fired missiles, while the remaining one was “set free,” as it did not pose a threat to infrastructure or personnel. Trump wrote that there were no casualties and asserted that “hardly any damage was done.”

After mocking the retaliation, the president thanked Iran for providing advance notice to minimize casualties and voiced hope for peace.

“Iran has officially responded to our Obliteration of their Nuclear Facilities with a very weak response, which we expected, and have very effectively countered,” he began.

“Most importantly, they’ve gotten it all out of their ‘system,’ and there will, hopefully, be no further HATE,” Trump continued. “I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured. Perhaps Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same.”

He emphasized his desire for calm more bluntly in a follow-up post.

“CONGRATULATIONS WORLD, IT’S TIME FOR PEACE!” Trump said.

He separately thanked the “Highly Respected Emir of Qatar” for his peace efforts in the region, noting that no Qataris were killed or wounded in Iran’s attack.

A retaliation was expected from Iran following U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, including its Fordow underground enrichment facility. Trump claimed that the operation “obliterated” Iranian nuclear capabilities.
