WATCH LIVE: Leavitt holds press briefing on sixth day of government shutdown

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt will brief the press at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.

The briefing comes during a busy week for the White House as President Donald Trump awaits decisions from Israeli and Hamas negotiators in Egypt and as legal disputes play out over National Guard presence in Portland and Chicago.

The federal government also moves into its second week of the government shutdown initiated on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
