Trump announced his appointments to the bipartisan Council of Governors on Wednesday. The COG is tasked with “strengthening state-federal partnerships on key national security, disaster response, and military coordination issues.”

Trump appointed five Republicans and five Democrats, including Govs. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) and Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI).
