White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt will hold a press briefing Thursday at 1:00 p.m.

The briefing comes one day after a gunman killed at least two children and injured 17 people at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced the bureau is investigating the shooting as an act of terrorism and a hate crime against Catholics. The shooter, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the parking lot, was a 23-year-old transgender woman named Robin Westman who authorities believe was a former student at the Catholic school.

President Donald Trump ordered American flags to be lowered to half-staff until Sunday evening in honor of the shooting victims.
