The White House said it would release the full results of President Donald Trump‘s physical examination, which was conducted Friday at the Walter Reed Medical Center.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters there would be a readout from the examination during a Friday press briefing.
Leavitt was asked whether she is “committed to releasing all of the results, as many of the results as possible,” to which she replied, “Of course, yes.”
“The president’s physician will do that. I spoke with him this morning,” Leavitt added.
Trump did not undergo anesthesia during his examination, according to Leavitt.
“He is undergoing a few tests and imaging,” Leavitt said. “Again, it’s a long, yearly physical, so there’s quite a lot that goes into it to make sure the president is accomplishing all of his goals. And we will provide a readout of that as soon as we can.”
Leavitt was also asked about Trump’s previous attacks on former President Joe Biden’s physical and mental health challenges and whether his White House would be transparent.
“As I have said, the president is undergoing his long-scheduled physical,” she said. “It’s a yearly physical that every president receives, and we will provide an update on that by the President’s position as soon as we possibly can.”
When pressed again, Leavitt criticized White House reporters for not investigating Biden’s mental acuity more.
“Well, I can tell you, there was certainly a lack of transparency from the former president, from the entire former administration, and frankly, a lot of people in this room, when it came to the health and the competence of the former president of the United States, Joe Biden,” Leavitt said.
Biden’s mental capabilities were a key factor in his failed bid against Trump during the 2024 presidential race. As Biden struggled to combat claims that he wasn’t up to another four years in office, Trump repeatedly boasted about his mental acuity and challenged Biden to a cognitive test on the 2024 campaign trail.

“There was one of the greatest cover-ups and, frankly, political scandals this nation has ever seen,” she continued. “It’s been unraveled in some recent books that are being written by journalists who engaged in that cover-up and scandal, which is quite ironic, but this president is clearly committed to transparency.”
The White House has not said if a cognitive test was part of Trump’s physical exam.
