The Washington Examiner’s Joe Concha blasted CNN host Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson for keeping silent on details about former President Joe Biden’s failing health and mental acuity for the sake of publishing their book.
Concha suggested Tapper and Thompson are just as guilty as those closest to Biden who helped run cover for the former president’s failing mental acuity and health.
“What about Jake Tapper of CNN. He’s supposed to be an anchor. And what about Alex Thompson, who was seated next to him there, of Axios,” Concha told the Evening Edit host Elizabeth MacDonald. “If they had these conversations with senators about Joe Biden and the national security risk that he posed. And people got killed by the way, Liz.”
“Where was Tapper and Thompson?” Concha continued. “They wanted to save this for their book instead of reporting it at the time when it mattered, when we had an election in front of us. That’s why I think everybody’s hands are dirty in this one.”
Since the release of Original Sin, Tapper has admitted that “conservative media was right” in questioning Biden’s mental acuity.
“Conservative media was correct,” Tapper told the Megyn Kelly Show. “There should be a lot of soul-searching — not just among me, but among the legacy media to begin with, all of us — for how this was covered or not covered sufficiently, 100%.”

Last Sunday, Biden’s office disclosed that he was diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones.
The announcement further stirred questions and allegations of a cover-up by those closest to the former president.
