Are You Ignorant?

ARE YOU IGNORANT? Nobody wants to be ignorant. But if a person was ignorant, they wouldn’t know it! They are blind to their own blindness.

So how does it happen? The Bible tells us exactly how ignorance starts:

“Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.” Ephesians 4:18

Ignorance isn’t the root. Blindness of heart is. A heart that stops responding to God makes the mind go dark. And a dark mind produces ignorant choices.

So how do you make sure YOU aren’t counted among the ignorant? Paul answers it:

“But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus.” Ephesians 4:20, 21

So that is what WE should do to make sure the world’s ignorance doesn’t rub off onto us: Listen to Jesus. Be taught by Jesus. Love truth as it is in Jesus. And that Truth can ONLY be found in God’s Word, The Bible!

What should we do we do today? Open and read your Bible. Hear Christ. Be taught by Christ. And learn to love truth, because truth is what keeps your heart from going blind.

A Final Word of Hope:

Ephesians 1:13 gives a powerful promise: You are saved and securely sealed the very moment you hear and believe the word of truth the good news of your salvation.

That same message of truth is available to you right now:

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

Choose to believe this today. Life moves fast and there is no better time to find that security than right now.
