WHO Is Seeing Correctly?

Imagine two people. One is colorblind. The other sees colors as they truly are. From their own perspective, each believes their vision is right. But only one sees the truth.

In our walk of faith, some are lost. And could it be that some “Christians” are among them?

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”  2 Corinthians 4:3,4

These verses speak of the unsaved, those whose minds Satan blinds so they cannot see the Gospel.

You might say, “No! That’s not me! I’m a Christian!”

But what’s the test to make sure YOU not been deceived?

“For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.” 2 Corinthians 4:5

Some in the Christian community preach themselves, claiming that Jesus is within them and focusing on their own personal ascension. But Paul reminds us: “We preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord.”

So, ask yourself: Is the gospel you share the Bible’s Gospel?

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

Or is your message centered on you, that is, on self‑improvement and inner light? Don’t let the god of this world blind you. Keep your focus on the truth of Scripture and not on yourself. Center your faith on Christ Jesus the Lord.
