Flee from the Evil…but HOW exactly?

Believers know the Bible doesn’t say money is evil, it says the love of money is the root of all evil. But how do we make sure our need for money never turns into a love for money?

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:10

So, what’s the safeguard? Paul tells us in the very next verse:

“But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” 1 Timothy 6:11

James 3:16 tells us, “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”

There is it is. AVOID people that are about constant STRIFE. AVOID people that are trying to tear people down out of ENVY.

If you see that, stop listening to these ones because THESE are the ones trying to so confusion.

But you should NOT be confused, because the messages is very simple.

Ephesians 1:13 gives a powerful promise: You are saved and securely sealed the very moment you hear and believe the word of truth the good news of your salvation.

There it is. We don’t just flee the love of money. We chase something better.

Righteousness.
Godliness.
Faith.
Love.
Patience.
Meekness.

It’s a long list, but here’s the simple starting point:

While those who love money scheme to get more, we “scheme” to practice righteousness, love, and faith.

Pick one from the list and imitate the people in Scripture who lived it out. That’s how you replace the love of money. By pursuing something stronger.

Ephesians 1:13 gives a powerful promise: You are saved and securely sealed the very moment you hear and believe the word of truth the good news of your salvation.

That same message of truth is available to you right now:

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

Choose to believe this today. Life moves fast and there is no better time to find that security than right now.
