Awaken! But Awaken to What?

A lot of believers think the company they keep is “good” company because they are talking about Bible topics.

However, these believers are asleep. They don’t realize that the company they keep are really CORRUPTING THEM.

They are being led to false ideas. And although the company they spend time with, may speak about Jesus, they are not promoting the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

That is because NOT ALL “Bible Talk” is Righteous.

That is why the Apostle Paul said this:

“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.” 1 Corinthians 15:33, 34

At the time, there were those promoting false ideas posing as believers. Paul pushed back on these false ideas to the point of having to “shame them.”

So, WE should feel the same way. WAKE UP to those promote their own ideas and go back to what the TRUE message of the Bible is. These ones DO NOT have the knowledge of God. You will KNOW this because they rarely every even USE Bible verse to back up their ideas.

SEPERATE YOURSELVES FROM THESE ONES.

Ephesians 1:13 gives a powerful promise: You are saved and securely sealed the very moment you hear and believe the word of truth the good news of your salvation.

That same message of truth is available to you right now:

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

Choose to believe this today. Life moves fast and there is no better time to find that security than right now.
