Are you BLIND? Or just Asleep

Time to wake up! The time is near! What are you doing! Get moving!

Believers are NOT blind. They believe and declare the Lord Jesus Christ. But, that doesn’t mean that you are able to SEE all the time. If you are sleeping, you can’t see. Because your eyes are closed.

This is the danger for believers. That is because they feel comfort in the fact that they CAN “see” the wonderful truths of our Lord Jesus. However, some have become very drowsy. That is why the Apostle Paul warns us:

“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” Romans 13:11

This warning is given to BELIEVERS. They are NOT blind. But they can’t see when their eyes are closed.

So wake up. And what to look for? The next Scripture verse tells us:

“The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” Romans 13:12

Cast off the DARKNESS that crept onto YOU when you were asleep. Read the Bible again. Pray again. And wake up to the thought of what Jesus wants you to do, today. Which is, to declare the Gospel to others.

Ephesians 1:13 gives a powerful promise: You are saved and securely sealed the very moment you hear and believe the word of truth the good news of your salvation.

That same message of truth is available to you right now:

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

Choose to believe this today. Life moves fast and there is no better time to find that security than right now.
