Jack Schlossberg, President John F. Kennedy’s sole grandson and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s recent appointee to the America 250 Commission, is drawing sharp criticism after posting a video mocking first lady Melania Trump.

The 32-year-old Kennedy heir, who has developed a reputation for provocative and erratic social media posts, shared a clip on Sunday in which he wore an oversized blonde wig and imitated Melania Trump’s Slovenian accent.

Reading aloud the first lady’s recent letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Schlossberg concluded his parody by saying: “What am I saying? This makes no sense. Please be more specific, Miss Melania Trump.”

Trump’s letter, dated August 15 during the Alaska summit with Putin, struck a humanitarian tone. Without directly mentioning Ukraine, she appealed to Putin to protect children affected by the war and urged him to “single-handedly restore their melodic laughter.”

“As parents, it is our duty to nurture the next generation’s hope,” the first lady wrote. “In protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone—you serve humanity itself.”

Schlossberg’s parody drew swift backlash from conservatives, who called it disrespectful.

“What an embarrassment to JFK this creature is,” journalist Miranda Devine wrote on X.

“How far the Kennedy family has fallen,” Newsmax host Rob Schmitt added.

The controversy comes less than a week after Schumer tapped Schlossberg for a private citizen seat on the bipartisan America 250 Commission, overseeing preparations for the Nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026.

“There’s no better person to push back on Donald Trump than you, Jack,” Schumer said when announcing the appointment, standing alongside the Kennedy heir.

This is not the first time Schlossberg has targeted the first lady.

Last month, Schlossberg attacked Republicans after some floated renaming the Kennedy Center after Melania Trump, writing: “The Trump Administration stands for freedom of oppression, not expression. He uses his awesome powers to suppress free expression and instill fear. But this isn’t about the arts.”

Earlier this year, he launched a marathon online rant during cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Senate confirmation hearing to be Trump’s Health and Human Services Secretary, calling him a “liar” and a “cult shaman.”

He later apologized after mocking his cousin’s voice disorder, and briefly deleted his social media accounts, writing: “I’m sorry to everyone. I was wrong. I’m deleting all my social media. Forever.”
