But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we BELIEVE that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. For this we say unto you by the Word of the LORD, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the LORD shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the LORD Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the Trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the LORD in the air: and so shall we ever be with the LORD. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

The Navy restored Rep. Ronny Jackson’s (R-TX) retired rank of rear admiral after he was demoted during the Biden administration, the former White House doctor announced Wednesday.

“I was, and still am, a retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral, and [former President] Joe Biden is a retired old FOOL,” Jackson wrote on X. “After the Biden administration’s politically motivated attacks against me, I am pleased to share that my military rank has been fully restored.”

The social media post featured a copy of a June 13 letter written by Secretary of the Navy John Phelan informing Jackson of the news.

“After finding good cause to reopen your retired grade determination, and upon review of all applicable reports and references, it is my pleasure to inform you, effective immediately, you are hereby reinstated to the retired grade of Rear Admiral (Lower Half) in the United States Navy,” Phelan wrote.

Under the Biden administration, the Navy demoted Jackson to the retired rank of rear captain in July 2022 after a 2018 investigation led by the Pentagon’s inspector general found he engaged in inappropriate behavior while serving as the White House physician. He was said to have drunk alcohol on the job and made sexual remarks about a female subordinate, among other concerning actions.

Jackson served as the White House’s top physician during President Donald Trump’s first term and former President Barack Obama’s second term. He retired from the Navy in 2019 and started serving in Congress two years later.

Jackson thanked Phelan “for righting the wrongs of the last administration.”

Despite the demotion, he continued to call himself a Navy rear admiral on his congressional website.

The former physician repeatedly criticized Biden, 82, for his deteriorating physical and mental health, while also blasting his medical team for covering up his cognitive decline. He has been more generous in his statements about Trump’s health over the years, once touting the 79-year-old Republican’s “good genes.”
