North American Aerospace Defense Command fighter aircraft intercepted a civilian aircraft violating temporary flight restrictions over Bedminster, New Jersey, on Sunday, marking the fifth unauthorized incursion this weekend.
The aircraft was intercepted at 12:50 p.m., when it was flying over Bedminster, the location of one of President Donald Trump’s golf courses. It was escorted safely out of the area after flares were deployed to draw the attention of the pilot.
The early-afternoon incursion was the second one to happen on Sunday.

It is also not the first to happen in Bedminster. Just last month, a fighter jet intercepted a civilian aircraft entering restricted airspace near the New Jersey golf course, using a “headbutt” maneuver to get the pilot’s attention.
According to Trump’s schedule, he was in Bedminster from late Friday into Sunday afternoon. He was due to return to the White House shortly before 7 p.m. Eastern time.
