Legendary actress, Julie Andrews, was spotted during a rare outing in New York.

The actress was recently photographed while spending some time in the Hamptons last Friday, just weeks after turning 91.

In the photos, the “Sound of Music” star is seen in a purple raincoat and white baseball cap, which she paired with pink sunglasses, as she was being helped out of a car by an unknown woman.

A source recently told The Daily Mail that the actress prefers to stay at her home in Sag Harbor and tend to her garden.

“Sometimes she is seen in town meeting someone for tea, she is spotted here and there, and is always impeccably dressed with full makeup on and tasteful gold jewelry — no sweat outfits for her — but the sightings are rare,” the source said.

Her outing comes just a few months after she spoke to The Hollywood Reporter that she is taking a step back from on-camera work and that she wouldn’t be returning for the highly-anticipated third installment of “Princess Diaries.”

She explained that while she still finds it “lovely to be working on things,” she doesn’t see herself taking any opportunities to put her in front of a camera.

“I think the absolute truth is that I think I’m really past all that now,” Andrews said. “I’m not completely retired, but it’s a different kind of work that I do these days — [writing] books, and I do a lot of recording of podcasts and voiceovers. But truly, I don’t think I should be a part of it.”

Andrews famously portrayed Queen Clarisse Renaldi in the first two “Princess Diaries” movies in 2001 and 2004.

In the sequel, Andrews’ on-screen granddaughter, Mia Thermopolis, played by Anne Hathaway, took over as Queen of Genovia, with Clarisse retiring after years of ruling the country alone.

“I think the story is slightly different, and I’m not quite sure how they’re dealing with that,” Andrews told Today in August. “But it’s too late for me to do it. I think the story has to continue in Princess Mia. It’s her story. It’s not really mine.”

“In retrospect, I could not have asked for a better introduction to film, in that it taught me so much in such a short period of time,” she wrote about “Mary Poppins” in her 2019 memoir, “Home Work.” “The special effects and animation challenges alone were a steep learning curve, the likes of which I would never experience again.”
