THE FAITH THAT JUSTIFIES YOU IS NOT YOURS…IT IS HIS!

“Therefore, by the deeds of The Law there shall NO flesh be justified in his sight: for by the Law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the Law is manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by THE FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference.” Romans 3:20–22

“…knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law, but by THE FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST, even we HAVE BELIEVED IN JESUS CHRIST, that we might be justified by THE FAITH OF CHRIST, and not by the works of the Law: for by the works of the Law shall NO flesh be justified.” Galatians 2:15–16

“But the scripture hath concluded ALL under sin, that the promise by FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST might be given to THEM THAT BELIEVE.” Galatians 3:22

“And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the Law, but that which is through THE FAITH OF CHRIST, the righteousness which is of God BY FAITH.” Philippians 3:9

Why does this matter?

Because Scripture is not teaching that our faith is what justifies us. It teaches that we are justified by the Faith of Jesus Christ…His perfect, unfailing faith working in us.

This changes everything. It means righteousness is not produced by our effort, our willpower, or our attempts to “believe harder.” It is produced by His own Faith operating inside our hearts. The life God calls us to live is not powered by human strength…it is powered by Christ Himself.

What does this mean for your faith?

Faith is a gift, not a human achievement. We are saved through faith by grace because the faith that saves is Christ’s faith given to us…not something we generate.

We are not asked to believe God out of our own weak resources. God is not waiting for us to muster up enough belief, emotion, or mental energy. The faith that justifies is already supplied by Jesus Christ living in us once quickened.

We depend on His Faith, not ours. His faith is perfect. His faith never fails. His faith is sufficient for every need and stronger than every obstacle.

So, when we trust God, we are not leaning on our own shaky ability to believe…we are resting on the steady, unstoppable Faith of Jesus Christ Himself.

That is why the gospel is good news.
