White House releases official portrait of Melania Trump

The White House has released the official portrait of first lady Melania Trump, portraying her standing over a desk in a similar manner to her husband.

The photo, taken in the White House’s Yellow Oval Room, was released to the press on Monday afternoon. The Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard drew comparisons between the new photo and one that President Donald Trump took at his desk once.

“I guess we can forget all the stupid stories about @MELANIATRUMP staying in Florida,” Bedard wrote on X. “Her weekend travels with @POTUS and this photo scream that she’s ready to work!”

She added that she got the idea for the documentary after writing her memoir and realized her fans wanted to “hear more from me” after reading her book.

Right after her husband’s inauguration, the nation’s first couple celebrated 20 years of marriage.
