The Lie Christians Keep Telling Themselves…And Why Paul Condemned It 2,000 Years Ago

LIES TO SPREAD TRUTH? God doesn’t need LIES to spread truth. The Apostle Paul gives a scenario where some people would think that the “ends justify the means.” Paul talks about the false notion of, “Let us do evil, that good may come.” Romans 3:8

Today, that same wrong attitude still exists. Some today exaggerate the credentials OR claim their pastor is someone whom they are NOT. But they justify the LIE by saying, “But if it gets people to listen to the Bible, then that is a good thing.”

The Bible does NOT support that claim.

Others might “cover up” crimes IN the church under the guise of “protecting the ministry.” This is ALSO, “Doing evil, that good may come.”

Others might LIE or exaggerate their testimonies in hopes that it will inspire more people. Again, this is “Doing evil, that good may come.”

The Bible speaks negatively about doing these things and we should feel the same way.

Ephesians 1:13 shares a powerful promise. It explains that you are saved and securely sealed the very moment you hear and believe the word of truth, which is the good news of your salvation.

That same message of truth is available to you right now: “That Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.

Choose to believe this today. Life moves fast, and there is no better time to find that security than right now.
