You might be BUSY… but busy at what?

Some believers are ACTIVE with other believers. But are they busy with the Lord, or JUST BUSYBODIES?

It happens at work almost every day. There are people who do real work. And there are people who really get in the way MORE than they help.

It is no different with those who labor for the Lord. There are some who find a way to help. And there are some that find a way to hurt.

The Apostle Paul cautioned against being the latter:

“For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.” 2 Thessalonians 3:11

Paul isn’t warning about people who are busy. He’s warning about people who are busy in the wrong direction.

A believer becomes a busybody when they stir up conversation that doesn’t build anyone up. I fact, they love to insert themselves and play both sides of the story so they can stay “involved in the drama.”

Paul’s remedy is simple: Work quietly. Serve faithfully. Focus on your assignment.

The believer who stays focused on Christ’s work doesn’t have time for everyone else’s drama. When your hands are committed to the Lord, your heart stays out of the noise.

Ephesians 1:13 gives a powerful promise: You are saved and securely sealed the very moment you hear and believe the word of truth the good news of your salvation.

That same message of truth is available to you right now:

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

Choose to believe this today. Life moves fast and there is no better time to find that security than right now.
