Vice President Kamala Harris is delivering remarks to young leaders in Maryland as she has just over a month left in office.
Harris is expected to begin speaking from Largo, Maryland, at 11:35 a.m. EST. The White House said the speech will be given to “young leaders who are active and engaged in their local communities.”

The vice president’s loss to President-elect Donald Trump will move one step closer Tuesday, when the Electoral College meets to cast votes. Harris is expected to have 226 votes, and Trump is expected to have 312 votes in the Electoral College.
One of Harris’s final acts as vice president will be certifying her election loss to Trump during a joint session of Congress on Jan. 6, 2025.
