First Things First. But do you believe that?

Even among believers, something can be lacking. And it took the Apostle Paul to bring this out to BELIEVERS.

Paul talked about the unique attitude that Timothy had:

“For I have no man like minded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.” Philippians 2:21-22

This reminds believers to ask themselves where their priorities truly lie. As believers, we may confidently say that Jesus is our priority! But in reality, countless believers quietly place their own concerns ahead of the things that matter to the LORD Jesus that saved them.

So, ask yourself, “What is YOUR, “First thing first?” What is YOUR priority?

Have the attitude that Timothy had. Start your day NOT with your own concerns, but by asking yourself what Jesus’ concern is for the day?

What it is, you may or may not know. But start by SEEKING the will of the Lord each day. Pray. Read the Bible. And through the study of God’s Word, the Bible, you’ll determine what should be YOUR priority for the day.

A Final Word of Hope:

Ephesians 1:13 gives a powerful promise: You are saved and securely sealed the very moment you hear and believe the word of truth the good news of your salvation.

That same message of truth is available to you right now:

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

Choose to believe this today. Life moves fast and there is no better time to find that security than right now.
