Is Your COVETOUSNESS Showing?

As believers we all know that we shouldn’t covet. But, do you actually have to SAY IT? Who is so brazen to say, “I want THIS from THAT person?” See, many people in the world won’t say that EITHER. They won’t directly say that out loud, but their actions prove otherwise.

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5

The point in that Scripture version is your CONVERSATION. You see, many people NEVER name the person they are speaking of. They don’t “give the word,” but their covetousness DOES SHOW in their CONVERSATION.”

In the political world, politicians are EXPERTS in this. They will never name a person, but they will steer the conversation to give the negative impression of their political opponent. They will say things like, “Are we NOT TIRED of our Corrupt Politicians?!”

You see, it’s ALL DIRECTED accusing their opponent is being a corrupt politician. But they Feign Innocence because they “never really said the words.”

Believers: Guard your own conversations and beware of those who never out right speak of their envy, greed and covetousness, but in their CONVERSATIONS, make it perfectly clear.

Rather, we should be content with knowing that Jesus will “never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

And here is the most important part:

Ephesians 1:13 gives a powerful promise: You are saved and securely sealed the very moment you hear and believe the word of truth the good news of your salvation.

That same message of truth is available to you right now:

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

Choose to believe this today. Life moves fast and there is no better time to find that security than right now.
