In a major leap for Ripple’s newly launched stablecoin, RLUSD is already making waves in the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) sector. In a highly innovative cross-chain integration announced this week, XRP holders can now borrow Ripple’s RLUSD on the Ethereum network without actually selling their XRP. This is made possible through Flare’s FXRP being accepted as collateral in Sentora’s RLUSD vault on the Morpho protocol. This development is crucial because it allows XRP investors to unlock the liquidity of their holdings and participate in the broader Ethereum DeFi ecosystem while maintaining their long-term XRP positions.

The Legislative Backdrop

Looming over all these technical and market developments is the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act). Having already advanced through the House and the Senate Banking Committee earlier this year, the crypto industry is anxiously awaiting a full Senate floor vote. If enacted, this legislation would firmly cement XRP’s status as a digital commodity, providing the ultimate legal certainty required for massive, sustained institutional adoption. Until that vote occurs, the market remains caught in a tug-of-war between undeniable technical progress and regulatory anticipation.
