To the “Anti-Paul” Crowd: Why 2,000-Year-Old Receipts From the Early Church Completely Destroy Your Argument!

This devotion is for all of the Apostle Paul haters. The original Disciples of the LORD Jesus Christ trained their disciples to respect Paul very highly, as evidenced in the extant writings of Polycarp, Clement, etc.

So, the argument is really about who is more credible, the Apostles and their disciples or these accusers today, 2000 years removed? These Anti-Paul loons…They only reveal their ignorance.

Read Polycarp’s (disciple of John) letter to the Philippians. From the Epistle of Polycarp, John’s Disciple, to the Philippians:

“These things, brethren, I write to you concerning righteousness, not because I take anything upon myself, but because you have invited me to do so. For neither I, nor any other such one, can come up to the wisdom (2 Peter 3:15) of the blessed and glorified Paul. He, when among you, accurately and steadfastly taught the word of truth in the presence of those who were then alive. And when absent from you, he wrote you a letter, which, if you carefully study, you will find to be the means of building you up in that faith which has been given you, and which, being followed by hope, and preceded by love towards God, and Christ, and our neighbour, is the mother of us all. (Galatians 4:26) For if any one be inwardly possessed of these graces, he has fulfilled the command of righteousness, since he that has love is far from all sin.”

Also, Irenaeus (disciple of Polycarp) canonized the writings authorized by the Apostles through their disciples in 180 AD and Paul’s writings were included.

With that said, here is the foundation of everything, the Gospel of the LORD Jesus Christ.

In Ephesians 1:13 the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul declares that men are saved and sealed by hearing and BELIEVING the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your Salvation. Therefore, here, now, is declared unto you the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your Salvation: “that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4. BELIEVE today. The time is short.
